PRR 7186, EFS-17M, 1965
Title:  PRR 7186, EFS-17M, 1965
Description:  Slope to Works. Here is an original photo that I took in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 6 June 1965. Shown at the left (L to R) is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #7186 and two more units whose road numbers are not recorded. All are EFS-17M road switchers built by GM-EMD and rated at 1,750 horsepower each. #7186 was constructed in November of 1957. They are pulling a westbound mixed-cargo freight and are about to pass under the 12th Street Footbridge. Note the on-coming ore train and the two coal trains on the right. Also visible is the PRR's two-story Freight Station at the left and one of the 12th Street Car Shop's buildings at the right. (#17 of 44)
