Here is the second of five successive original photos by Douglas C. Jones that were taken at the Ivy City Yard in Washington, D.C., c. 1953. At the left is Baltimore & Ohio Railroad engine #5218, a P-5 (4-6-2) "Pacific" steam locomotive. Partially visible in the center and right are three Pennsylvania Railroad GG-1 electrics and three GM-EMD "E" Class diesels, all awaiting their next assignments.
